No band without a founding myth. What is yours?
“Isn’t enough to believe a garden is beautiful without having to believe there are fairies at the bottom of it too?” – Douglas Adams

What was the most wonderful gig you ever played?
Each gig has its unique environment, but playing for children is absolutely magical.

Where would you absolutely love to play?
I would love to play in London.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t listened to it yet?
I would say it’s like being stuck in a dark daydream.

What’s your best memory of seeing live music?
I attended the ballet quite a bit in my childhood. Seeing the hidden orchestra pit before the show began was absolutely thrilling. Like I’ve been let into a little secret world.

Describe the perfect stage outfit.
Forever in black with a good quirky eye makeup to stand out.

What was your worst studio experience?
I was invited to record for free at a new studio launch who has the best equipment but sadly didn’t know how to use it. I only found it later when I heard the recordings. Complete distortion. Nothing could be used.

Which things must always be in your tour bag?
Honey sticks. The absolute best for a little hit of honey right before a show and a good boost of sugar.

Which song never fails to make you sing, hum or whistle along?
That’s a tough one. I have to respond to each song I know, to be honest.

What was the first song you fell in love with and why?
Tchaikovsky, The Nut Cracker. Because I first heard it in Disney’s Fantasia as a child.

Your favourite weird food quirks?
I don’t mind undercooked dough.

The greatest musical genius (dead or alive)?
I honestly can’t answer that one, but I would say Schubert.

What do you look forward to at the beginning of a tour? And what at the end?
At the beginning, I love the packing. I know it’s weird that most people dread that part. And at the end, that long overdue hot bath.

With which detail on the hospitality rider do you nag the promoters?
No more pizza.

Your most embarrassing moment on stage?
I would say none? But the worst was when the engineer forgot to turn on our monitors the entire first half of the gig. We managed.

What song gets you on the dance floor right away?
Bee Gees.

If your music was food, what would it taste like?
Spicy, warm with a bitter aftertaste.

What audience behaviour drives you mad?
People who don’t know how to listen.

Which Lebanese bands should our readers know about? Beside yours.
SANAM, Oviid & Snakeskin

What question do you miss on every band questionnaire? And what is the answer?
Honestly, this interview has asked the best questions so far!
